2. General purposes of processing
We process personal data to the extent necessary to provide this website, to handle contact requests and tenant requests, and to review offers of property and land.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO (Berlin, Germany). When you access the website, the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data, in particular IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type, operating system and referrer URL. This processing serves the technical provision, stability and security of the website on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Contact via form, email or phone
The forms on this website do not transmit any data to a server. When you submit a form, a prepared message is created in your email program, which you then send to us yourself. If you contact us this way, directly by email or by phone, we process the data you provide, in particular your name, email address, phone number, address or property reference, the content of your message and any other voluntary information. The purpose is to handle your request. The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where the request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for general communication.
5. Tenant requests
For tenant requests, we process information about the rented property, the type of request, its urgency and the description of the matter. This data is used to categorise, handle and document the request and to communicate with you.
6. Property offers and acquisition enquiries
If you offer us a property or plot of land, we process the information you provide about the property, its location, areas, units, price expectations and other relevant details. The purpose is to review the offer, contact you and, where applicable, prepare further discussions or pre-contractual measures.
7. Digital assistant
The digital assistant on this website is a rule-based question-and-answer dialogue that runs entirely in your browser. It helps you record and prepare your details in a structured way. No data is transmitted to external services – in particular not to AI services. Your details only reach us when you actively send the prepared email.
8. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set any cookies. The only thing stored in your browser (localStorage) is the fact that you have acknowledged the storage notice, so that it does not appear again. No analytics, tracking or marketing technologies are used. The legal basis for this technically necessary storage is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can delete this entry at any time in your browser settings.
9. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are loaded locally from our web server. No connection to third-party servers, such as Google Fonts, is established.
10. Recipients of data
Personal data is only passed on where this is necessary to handle the respective request, where there is a legal obligation or where you have consented. Possible recipients include technical service providers, hosting providers, tradespeople or service companies in connection with tenant requests, and legal or tax advisers.
11. Storage period
Personal data is only stored for as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Contact requests are generally deleted once they have been fully dealt with, unless statutory or legitimate retention reasons apply.
12. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future.
13. Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR
Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims. An informal message to info@ruegerundhausjell-immobilien.de is sufficient.
14. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony (Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
15. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
16. Data security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and unauthorised disclosure. This website is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS).
17. Changes to this privacy policy
This privacy policy may be updated if technical, organisational or legal circumstances change. Last updated: October 2026.
